Decorating Tall Living Room Walls. One wall has nothing on it, no windows, fireplace etc. just a huge blank wall. One of the BIGGEST mistakes that people make when decorating tall walls is they get the scale all wrong.
In a living room with a tall ceiling, it can feel like you have an endless amount of space. Any suggestions are welcome, I've attached a couple of additional photos to give you an idea of the space. Hang a gallery wall of thrift store finds, cover the walls in patterned paper, or put antiques collections on display—there are countless ways to show off your personality and bring a boring living room to life.
Ignoring the upper portions of tall walls while only decorating at eye-level can tip the scale of the room and make it feel half-done or off balance.
The bigger the piece, the more profound the statement.
Any suggestions are welcome, I've attached a couple of additional photos to give you an idea of the space. In general, my approach is to use one big sculptural piece on top or a few like objects. All four points of this cross-shaped wall decor are clearly accentuated with a subtly elaborated center.
